Book Information

Book Description

A Cry No One Heard is about generational curses, sisterhood, pursuing dreams, bad decisions, and the elegance of second chances. Moreover, it’s a novel about undying friendship and the untold early beginnings of the all-girl band Klymaxx. Music producer, author, and disuse Bernadette Cooper, known as the creator of the all-girl-band Klymaxx and Madame X, wrote the novel from the diary of her friend Bonnie Thompson. As an added benefit, the biography sparkles with historical references by Raina Shaw.

Despite episodes of extreme darkness, the beauty of the story is in ancestry, friendship, and evolution, as the quintessence of change is present in it.

Journey through the early beginnings of Bonnie’s family’s inception in the 1920s in the south of old before the rise of Hitler and during the era of the great migration. Meet Bonnie’s great grandparents, the Mott’s, as they raise their tribe, working together for their farm’s survival.

After generations passed by, from the fabric of this family, a baby girl was born from the womb of a stripper. That child was thrust into a life full of turmoil. She grew up determined to achieve something more significant than what she thought her past would allow her to be… a star!

Bonnie chooses the lustful path, the sensual vehicle that will drive her from the deep south to the Hollywood sign and then to the penitentiary.
After traveling to Los Angeles, she soon meets Bernadette Cooper and experiences many adventures while nurturing a dream. It’s a surreal view of sisterhood, observing Bernadette’s stick-to-it-iveness and Bonnie’s determination to help her friend succeed.

You will experience a blend of whimsical and disturbing incidents as they make their way to stardom. And to their detriment, one of them destroyed a dream for the love of a man.

One friend moves forward and continues with her vision, whilst the other’s earth-shattering decisions lead her to sex with superstars, drugs, cons, and Johns, a one-woman crime spree, and eventually, murder and then prison. This true story will amaze you.

The novel chronicles Bonnie, a woman who fell into depravity and raised herself up after incarceration through divinity. While Bernadette continued with her iconic dream and created the first successful R&B, pop, all-girl band, “Klymaxx.”

Cooper channels Bonnie’s voice in this biography as she pays homage to her friend, the silent contributor Bonnie Thompson who was her biggest supporter.
